Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center, Atlanta (Buford), Georgia
, presents Continuous Threads: An exhibition that chronicles the historical significance of weaving in Georgia and the South for the past two-hundred years. I was invited to participate in this remarkable fiber art exhibition, as a demonstration of how the traditional technique of coiling is carried into the contemporary art realm. Three of my contemporary art works were selected by curator Ariana Yandell.
There will also be a Fiber Fest associated with this exhibition, Sunday June 28, filled with activities for the whole family. I hope to be there that day, I will keep you posted!~
Here are the pieces that will be in the exhibit, "Green Algae Wave", "Catching the Loon Moon" and "Storm Warning."
